Faith-based Resources

Please see the following resources that might support your church or Churches Together groups in engagement with your parishioners and/or larger community needs

At A Loss

At A Loss is a Christian charity, in association with CTE's Charity & Network in Association.
This organizations trains churches across denominations to offer grief and loss supports in their communities.
They offer the Bereavement Journey course as part of their Loss and HOPE Project - a course for people bereaved in any time and in any way. Churches can run this course, through a series of films and discussion groups, to support any church or community members seeking to find their way through experiences of grief and loss.

Check out this link for a CTE article that highlights the work of At A Loss.

Neca Gambling North East

NECA Gambling North East reached out to me to share their Gambling Awareness and Prevention (GAP) Program. The programme aims "to reduce gambling harm by enhancing the skills and knowledge of diverse professionals to undertake early intervention and prevention."

In particular to our networks, they have designed a training specifically tailored for the Faith, Community and Cultural Lead sectors. This training is free and helps to build awareness to recognize signs of gambling, learn referral pathways and access signposting to local support services.

Christian CND

The Christian Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) is a specialist section of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. We seek to educate Christians around disarmament issues, provide a space for Christians to campaign for peace on the basis of their faith, and to be a Christian voice in the wider disarmament movement.

To explore or get involved in their work - from becoming a member to inviting one of their speakers to deliver a workshop or a sermon at your church or group. You can come along to their events, such as their annual conference and exciting pilgrimage. You can connect with them via their mailing list or email them directly at liddy@christiancnd.org.uk for more information.
